Cancer Flees Woman's Body at the Name of Jesus

Cancer could not stand up to the name of Jesus, and Natasha Higgins has her PET scans to prove it.  

The woman had recently decided to forego all treatments for her Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer after only two rounds of a new drug. 

"And the choices I had to make after that were so hard. I decided that I was done with all treatments and that I just wanted to live the rest of my life feeling good. God gave me peace about my decision he told me to just be still in my presence and trust me. So I did and it was hard," she posted to Instagram. "I have known since the first day I was diagnosed that I wouldn't die from this cancer and 9 years later and after being in remission many times I was still fighting for my life. I was scared Gods promises weren't real." 

That's when she met Nicole Jasien, who was in town for Azusa Now.  

"So I only really got to pray for one person while in L.A. The Lord told me to go find her and I did..... We'd never met outside of Facebook, but I stepped out. I left LA feeling like maybe I was just there to witness the history," Jasien said. 

And God intervened. When Higgins went back to her doctor, she was stunned at the Lord's faithfulness.  

"And the results are they came back CLEAN! It's literally a miracle... My Doctor was in shock. She kept saying 'this is amazing!' There are still some very tiny up takes and evidence of some cancer still present but to have this much of a change is just incredible. Glory to God for this. There's no way two rounds of treatment could take away all this disease. I still have a bumpy road ahead and there's still a chance for it to come back but doctors told me I wouldn't be here past March and here I am ALIVE and HEALED!! God is so freaking GOOD!!!  #godisgood#hodgkinslymphoma #cityofhope." 

God is good, indeed. 

Would you want a relationship with the God that heals?

Ephesians 2:8 declares, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

All we have to do is believe that Jesus died in our place and rose from the dead (Romans 10:9-10). We can be saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. 

We are declaring to God that we are relying on Jesus Christ as our Savior. There are no "magical" words that result in salvation. It is only faith in Jesus' death and resurrection that can save us.

If you acknowledge to God that you are a sinner and in need of salvation and healing through Jesus Christ say this prayer.

"Father God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin.

However, right now, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior.

Lord Jesus, I pray and ask You, to come into my heart and be Lord of my life. I thank you that you have given me eternal life, and according to your Word, I am born again.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit that is in me now. I surrender my life to you. Use me for your glory.

Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me.

- Second coming of Jesus Christ? What does it mean? In His first coming, Jesus arrived in the most humble of circumstances. In His second coming, Jesus will arrive with the armies of heaven at His side.

Second coming of Jesus Christ? What does it mean?

The second coming of Jesus Christ is the hope of believers that God is in control of all things, and is faithful to the promises and prophecies in His Word - the Bible.

In His first coming, Jesus Christ came to earth as a baby in a manger in Bethlehem, just as prophesied. Jesus fulfilled many of the prophecies of the Messiah during His birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection.

However, there are some prophecies regarding the Messiah that Jesus has not yet fulfilled. The second coming of Christ will be the return of Christ to fulfill these remaining prophecies.

In His first coming, Jesus was the suffering Servant.

In His second coming, Jesus will be the conquering King.

In His first coming, Jesus arrived in the most humble of circumstances.

In His second coming, Jesus will arrive with the armies of heaven at His side.

The Old Testament prophets did not make clearly this distinction between the two comings. This can be seen in Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7 and Zechariah 14:4.

As a result of the prophecies seeming to speak of two individuals, many Jewish scholars believed there would be both a suffering Messiah and a conquering Messiah. What they failed to understand is that there is only one Messiah and He would fulfill both roles.

Jesus fulfilled the role of the suffering servant (Isaiah chapter 53) in His first coming.

Jesus will fulfill the role of Israel’s deliverer and King in His second coming. Zechariah 12:10 and Revelation 1:7, describing the second coming, look back to Jesus being pierced. 

Israel, and the whole world, will mourn for not having accepted the Messiah the first time He came.

After Jesus ascended into heaven, the angels declared to the apostles, “‘Men of Galilee,’ they said, ‘why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven’” (Acts 1:11). 

Zechariah 14:4 identifies the location of the second coming as the Mount of Olives.

Matthew 24:30 declares, “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.”

Titus 2:13 describes the second coming as a “glorious appearing.”

The second coming is spoken of in greatest detail in Revelation 19:11-16, “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

“The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter.’ He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Q: Earthquakes of magnitudes exceeding 7.0 struck Japan and Ecuador just hours apart Saturday. Are the two somehow related?

A: No. The two quakes occurred about 9,000 miles apart. That’s far too distant for there to be any connection between them.

Large earthquakes can, and usually do, lead to more quakes — but only in the same region, along or near the same fault. These are called aftershocks. Sometimes a large quake can be linked to a smaller quake that occurred earlier, called a foreshock. 

In the case of the Japanese quake, seismologists believe that several magnitude-6 quakes in the same region the previous day were foreshocks to the Saturday event.

: But the two earthquakes are similar in some ways, aren’t they?

A: Not really. The magnitude 7.8 quake in Ecuador was what would be considered a classic megathrust event, a type first identified through the work of George Plafker, a U.S. Geological Survey geologist, on the great Alaska earthquake of 1964. A megathrust quake occurs in the boundary zone where one of the planet’s tectonic plates is sliding under another, a process called subduction.

In the Ecuadorean quake, the Nazca, a heavy oceanic plate, is sliding under the South American, a lighter continental plate, at a rate of about 2 inches a year. Strain builds up at the boundary, which is then released suddenly in the form of an earthquake.

Because the boundary area is usually large, megathrust quakes are the most powerful and include the two strongest quakes ever measured by instruments: the magnitude 9.2 Alaska quake in 1964 and one in coastal Chile in 1960 of magnitude 9.5.

Although there have been plenty of megathrust earthquakes in Japan — including the 2011 Tohoku quake, which led to the Fukushima nuclear disaster — the earthquake Saturday on the island of Kyushu in southwest Japan was not that type. Rather, according to the geological survey, the earthquake occurred at shallow depth along a different kind of fault — a strike-slip — in the top of the Eurasia plate, above any subduction zone.

Q: OK, but two 7.0-plus quakes in the same day — does that mean earthquake activity is increasing?

A: No. The geological survey, which monitors earthquakes around the world, says the average number of quakes per year is remarkably consistent. For earthquakes between magnitude 7.0 and 7.9, there have been some years with more than 20 and others with fewer than 10, but the average is about 15. That means there is more than one per month, on average, and by chance, sometimes two quakes occur on the same day. (Also by chance, the world sometimes goes a month or longer without a 7.0-plus quake, as it did between July 27 and Sept. 16 last year.)

Sometimes it seems earthquakes are increasing in frequency because, as instrumentation improves and more people occupy more parts of the world, more quakes make the news.

The two earthquakes Saturday both occurred in heavily populated areas with media and communication networks, so word got out quickly. If one had occurred in the middle of the ocean, few people would have noticed.

Dozens of Large Earthquakes Could Split Japan's Southern Island

Over the past 48 hours, our planet has been hit by literally dozens of earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 or greater, and scientists are acknowledging that what is taking place is highly unusual. This strange shaking began toward the end of last week when the globe was struck by five major earthquakes over the space of just two days, and over the weekend the seismic activity just continued to escalate.

Very early on Saturday, Japan's southern island of Kyushu was hit by a magnitude 7.3 earthquake, and on Saturday night a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck off Ecuador's Pacific coast. It was the worst earthquake that Ecuador had experienced since 1979, and it was followed by at least 163 aftershocks.

Unfortunately, there are indications that what we have seen so far may be just the beginning.

Because the Ecuador earthquake was bigger, it is getting most of the headlines at the moment, but the truth is that what is going on in Japan is potentially far more dangerous.

Over the past week, Japan's southern Island of Kyushu has been rocked by a series of devastating quakes, including two major ones in less than 48 hours. The following comes from the Guardian...

A second major earthquake in less than two days has shaken Japan's southern island of Kyushu, with at least 34 people thought to have been killed, about 1,500 injured and more feared buried after building collapses and landslides.

The 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck at about 1.30am on Saturday, waking people across the island—including the thousands already in crisis centres. It caused widespread damage, with several landslides and a village evacuated over fears a dam might burst.

The mainstream media in the United States is using the term "landslides" to describe what has happened all over Kyushu, but the truth is that in many instances it would be far more accurate to say that "giant cracks" or "vast chasms" have formed.

The geography of Japan's southern island has been fundamentally transformed, and this is beginning to cause huge concerns. Here is more from the Guardian:

One major landslide tore open a mountainside in Minamiaso village in Kumamoto prefecture, destroying a key bridge that could cut off food and other relief transport to the worst-hit area.

Another landslide hit a road, collapsing a house that fell down a ravine. In another part of the village, houses were left hanging precariously at the edge of a huge hole. (Emphasis added)

The dozens of earthquakes that have hit Japan's southern island over the past week appear to form something of a straight line that divides the island in two. Many are now speculating that geological forces are beginning to tear Kyushu in half, and if that is true, the earthquake activity that we have seen in Japan so far is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

We could potentially be talking about an event that could ultimately have far more of an impact on Japan than the tsunami of 2011. By the time it is all said and done, entire cities could be wiped off the map and millions upon millions of Japanese citizens could be displaced.

Already, the seismic activity that has rocked Kyushu is having quite an impact on the Japanese economy...

Earlier today Toyota was one of many Japanese companies to announce that it will suspend most car production across Japan as a result of critical supply chain disruptions caused by the recent destructive earthquake and numerous aftershocks. All of the major assembly lines will be shut down across its four directly-run plants, and Toyota will be halting production in stages at other group companies as well.

According to the Nikkei Asian Review, most of the Toyota group in Japan will be effectively shut down through at least the end of this upcoming week, with a production loss of as many as 50,000 vehicles, including brands such as Prius, Lexus and Land Cruiser.

Our planet resembles something of a giant cracked egg, and the enormous tectonic plates that we are all living on are constantly in motion. 

So if Japan's southern island is in the process of slowly splitting in half, that shouldn't exactly be a surprise. After all, scientists assure us that Los Angeles and San Francisco will be directly next to one another someday.

And it isn't just Japan that we need to be concerned about. All along the "Ring of Fire", seismic activity is increasing, and this has many of the experts completely puzzled. The following comes from an excellent piece by Alvin Conway:

This has continued to baffle many of the world's leading geologists, who still attest the rise in the number of large earthquakes is merely a random natural occurrence. For instance, the number of large earthquakes doubled in 2014.

However, here's what scientists had to say about it: "If you think there have been more earthquakes than usual this year, you're right. A new study finds there were more than twice as many big earthquakes in the first quarter of 2014 as compared with the average since 1979.

"We have recently experienced a period that has had one of the highest rates of great earthquakes ever recorded," said lead study author Tom Parsons, a research geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Menlo Park, California. (Emphasis added)

If you are familiar with my work, then you already know that I believe that we have entered a period of time during which we will see seismic activity on a scale that none of us have ever experienced before.

This great shaking will combine with other factors such as financial collapse, geopolitical instability and civil unrest to produce what many have described as a "perfect storm." Life as we know it is in the process of fundamentally changing, and right now we are only in the very early chapters of this change.

Unfortunately, most people are ignoring the warnings and will continue to ignore them until it is far too late.

Should I believe that hell is real and eternal?

It is interesting that more people believe in the existence of heaven than believe in the reality of hell.

According to the Bible, though, hell is just as real as heaven.

The Bible clearly and explicitly teaches that hell is a real place to which the wicked and unbelieving are sent after death.

We have all sinned against God (Romans 3:23).

The just punishment for that sin is death - eternal death (Romans 6:23).

All of our sin is ultimately against the holiness of God (Psalm 51:4). And God is an infinite and eternal Being.

The punishment for sin must also be infinite and eternal death.

Hell is this infinite and eternal death which we deserve because of our sin.

The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as:

- “eternal fire” (Matthew 25:41),

- “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12),

- “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2),

- a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49),

- a place of “torment” and “fire” (Luke 16:23-24),

- “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9),

- a place where “the smoke of torment rises forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11), and

-  a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).

The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never ending as the joys of the righteous in heaven.

Jesus Himself warned that punishment in hell is just as everlasting as blissful life in heaven (Matthew 25:46).

The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God. Those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalm 76:10).

Those who are in hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5).

Yes, hell is real.

Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end.

Praise God that, through Jesus, we can escape this eternal condemnation (John 3:16, 18, 36).

Ensure your eternal destiny now by receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

“Father God, I confess I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from you.

I am truly sorry. I now want to turn away from my past sinful life and live a new life pleasing to you.

Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again.
