ISIS, CHAOS, AND LAWLESSNESS
Ferguson, Baltimore, a porous
southern border of the USA, ISIS, the Iran nuclear deal, the Supreme Court
decision on same sex marriage.
Our world and our country seem
totally out of control. Do you realize all these things have happened within
the last year??? What is the cause and where are we headed?
Let’s look at the dates of these
events:

Supreme Court Decision on Same Sex Marriage
I know how my brain thinks, I
want to blame a political party or individuals. Our struggle is not
against flesh and blood, however. It is against demonic powers.
This unprecedented amount of chaos is not random, it is the result of
demonic activity.
As I look at the events, the rise
of the ISIS Caliphate looms large. Is it a possible cause or trigger for
all the rest of the chaos? I haven’t seen anyone suggest this yet, but I
am suggesting it now. What is the basis of my thinking?
Spiritual
Reasons for Chaos
First let’s look at the issue
spiritually:
I saw one of his heads as if it
had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed
and followed after the beast. (Revelation
13: 3 NASB)
The beast that you saw was, and
is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss. (Revelation 17:8 NASB)
Have we witnessed the Beast arise
from the abyss? Is a new demonic force present on the earth that was not
present last year at this time?
We know that in its final form
the Beast Empire will be a revived Ottoman Caliphate, however, ISIS may be a
precursor and the demonic Beast may be loose on the earth.
Last autumn I wrote an
article IS ISIS FULFILLING PROPHECY? And I took
a wait and see approach to whether it was or not. Just look at the
results on the earth in the last 7 months since the article! Chaos
is breaking out all over.
Fleshly
Reasons for Chaos
Now let’s look at
physical/fleshly reasons for the increase in chaos as well. Muslims the
world over have been waiting for a Caliphate. They may not all think
Al-Bagdadi has a legitimate right to be Caliph, but they are emboldened by the
presence of a Caliphate.
Each wannabe Caliph is scheming
up a way to get to power as well. In a nutshell, the Muslim world and its
supporters have been set on fire by what happened last June.
The forces of unrighteousness
that are non-Muslim are taking advantage of the chaos in the Muslim world and
the distraction it is causing. The righteous can only put out so many
fires.
The LGBT mafia and those seeking
socialist upheaval has seized this opportunity. We should not be
surprised by this.
Where is
All This Going?
Let’s look at what our Lord
predicts:
When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not
be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not
follow immediately. (Luke 21: 9 NASB)
The Beginning of the Birth Pangs
period Jesus alludes to occurs DURING the first 3 1/2 years of the 70th Week of
Daniel not before.
In regard to what Jesus is
referring to, let’s look at this word “disturbances.” The Greek is
AKATASTASIA which can mean chaos, anarchy, revolution, and upheavals in the
political or moral spheres. This is where I think the current conditions are
headed: towards fulfillment of Luke 21: 9.
If the current situation has
resulted from the rise of ISIS imagine the
upheaval when the Mahdi and Isa (the Muslim Jesus) burst onto the scene at the
beginning of the 70th Week of Daniel. It is entirely likely that most of the
billion Muslims world-wide will rise up in response to their false
religion’s end-time leaders.
Might we then
experience fighting and revolution in the streets throughout the world?
Is this why Jesus says, “do not be
terrified” because all non-Christians will be terrified?
Is this also why Jesus says “Many false prophets will arise and will
mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow
cold.” (Matthew 24: 11-12 NASB)
Notice how the rise of false
prophets directly leads to lawlessness. Isn’t it logical that our love
for one another might grow cold during such a time of world-wide strife and
anarchy?
My take away from all of this is
that the time is short. The sun is going down. Soon darkness will
cover the earth.
Let us be about our Father’s
business while there is time. We are not to fear, but rather, being
informed by our Lord (“see I have told
you in advance”) let’s prepare. Not to physically fight against the
anarchy, but rather to overcome evil with good; with the love of Christ.
It is time to put on the full
armor of God. The evil day is almost here.
