LIMBO is “a zone which exists between two definite places.” The Bible does not give the name “limbo” to any specific place or realm, but various people have used the word “limbo” in various ways.

Does the Bible teach about Limbo? What would happen to the souls of unbaptized children in Limbo?
According to the Catholic encyclopedia, in theological usage the name Limbo is applied to:
(a) the temporary place or state of the souls of the just who, although purified from sin, were excluded from the beatific vision until Christ's triumphant ascension into Heaven (the "limbus patrum"); or
(b) to the permanent place or state of those unbaptized children and others who, dying without grievous personal sin, are excluded from the beatific vision on account of original sin alone (the "limbus infantium" or "puerorum").
.
The root of the word limbo is “the edge of a hem on a garment,” so the word itself is telling us that limbo is someplace which borders very close to another.
A very broad definition of limbo is “a zone which exists between two definite places.”
The Bible does not give the name “limbo” to any specific place or realm, but various people have used the word “limbo” in various ways.
.
One Roman Catholic tradition names a limbo for children who die before their baptisms or die outside of the Roman Catholic religion.

There is no biblical support for this view. It is merely a religious opinion which has been handed down by Catholic theologians.
The closest biblical account for a “limbo” concerns “Abraham’s bosom” and “paradise” in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31).
Although it is a parable to teach a truth concerning prophecies declaring the kingdom of God, the places “Abraham’s bosom” and “paradise” mentioned must be real places or Jesus would not have referred to them.
Parables are not based upon imaginary objects and locations, but on things which are real.
So before the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, there were two places souls went upon death.
One place is at the side of Abraham (often described as Abraham’s bosom). This would be for people who died in faith in God’s promised Messiah, just as Abraham did, and were declared righteous by faith (Genesis 15:4-6; Romans 4:13-24).
Those who died in unbelief went to a place of torment, commonly called “hell.” These people are not in the Book of Life because they do not have eternal life through faith in Christ, and they are cast into their final destination in the “lake of fire - gehenna.”
Limbo as a realm in between heaven and hell, sort of another purgatory, is not found anywhere in Scriptures.
If there is any sort of a limbo, it is the temporary holding place of departed spirits called “hades” or “sheol” in the Bible.
But this is also a temporary limbo. These souls will appear at the second resurrection before the Before the Great White Throne.
Revelation 20:11- Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.
13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.
14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.  English Standard Version (ESV)
Are you struggling with a big decision or wondering how your eternal future will play out?
Why not talk to the God of the universe and let Him work in your behalf?
He says, “I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you" (Psalm 32:8).
Ask God to show you what to do. Pray the following prayer:
“Heavenly Father,
I admit that I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from You. I now want to turn away from my past sinful life and begin a new life with You.
Please forgive me. I now receive your Son, Jesus Christ as my Savior, my Master and my Lord. I believe and confess that Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried, and rose from the dead.
I want to receive all that Jesus Christ has provided for me as my Savior. Your Word says, ‘Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved’ (Romans 10:13).
I believe and confess that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no man comes unto the Father, but by Him.
Lord Jesus, I pray and ask You, to come into my heart and be Lord of my life. I thank You that you have given me eternal life, and according to Your Word, I am born again.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit that is in me now. I surrender my life to You. . I promise to study Your Word – the Bible.
Use me for Your glory.

In Jesus Name. Amen.”

HOLY SPIRIT ANOINTING - Oil is also symbolic of the Holy Spirit or someone being empowered or enabled by the Holy Spirit.

What is Anointing Of The Holy Spirit?
What does having an anointing of the Holy Spirit mean?

Do some Christians have this anointing while others do not?  What does the Bible say about the anointing of the Holy Spirit?

Why the Word Anointing?

The Old Testament is full of references about being anointed but it speaks about being anointed with oil which is symbolic of having God’s special blessing or commission.
Oil is also symbolic of the Holy Spirit or someone being empowered or enabled by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not an anointing but is the Third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is actually God the Holy Spirit.
When someone was anointed with oil in the Old
Testament, he was declared to be set apart or consecrated for holy use by God (Exodus 25:6; Leviticus 8:30; Numbers 4:16).
This oil was called the “holy, anointing oil” (Exodus 30:32-3); anointing was done three times, in fact which is representative of the Trinity.
Did this anointing point to something that was to occur in the New Testament?

An Anointing from the Holy One

The Apostle John said that Christians “have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth” (1 John 2:20).
Who is this Holy One?
First John 2:27 gives us more on this anointing, “But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.”
Who is the bringer of the knowledge of God?
This “anointing teaches” us about “everything” and it abides in us.  It appears that the Holy Spirit is this anointing. And if persons are believers in Christ, they have this anointing with the presence of the Holy Spirit who abides in them.
The Spirit teaches us about the things of God.
Someone who says that a person is “really anointed” may mean that they he has a special God-given gift and are using this anointing in a powerful way or they could mean that they really understand the things of God.
Ultimately, all spiritual knowledge is from God the Holy Spirit. However the Bible does not teach that only some can have a special anointing of the Spirit while others cannot; they can be walking in the Spirit but that is another issue altogether.

Who is and Who is Not Anointed by the Holy Spirit?

All believers are anointed by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Some can walk more closely in the Spirit. There is not a believer that does not have the Holy Spirit, for if you do not have the Holy Spirit, you are none of Christ’s.
Romans chapter 8 is predominantly about the Holy Spirit’s indwelling, work. It says:
“You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.  But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:8-11).
If you have the Holy Spirit, you have this anointing and in fact, “all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him” (Romans 8:14-17).
Those who are not born again cannot have this anointing but if God is calling them, they are being led by the Spirit to come to Christ.

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

Near the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry, the disciples asked Him about the signs of His second coming.

In Matthew 25:1-13 the oil represent their being accepted or rejected by the Bridegroom, who is Christ Jesus Himself, when He returns for His bride, the Church:
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.
As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept.  But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’  Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.  And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’  And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.
Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’  But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’  Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”
What Jesus seems to be saying, and I would even say warning about, is that some will think that they have the Holy Spirit and thus are born again but instead will hear Jesus’ tragic words that I do not know you.”
This sounds perilously close to Matthew 7:21-23 where He says that “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’  And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”
Just prior to verses 21-23 He was saying that many did miracles, wonders, and deeds for Jesus … or so they thought.  They believed that they were Christians but unless one has the Holy Spirit, they are none of His (Romans 8:9).
These foolish virgins in Matthew 25 “took their lamps [but] they took no oil with them.”

Conclusion

For Christians to be filled with the Spirit means that they will experience an anointing of the power, praise, and purity of the believer. This is only possible for those who are walking in the Spirit and are being indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
This is how “we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit” (1 John 4:13).
Jesus was anointed by God (Acts 10:38; Acts 4:27).

Jesus Himself said “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me ...  (Luke 4:18).
Paul wrote that we are to “be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18) which is an anointing by God Himself in the Person of the Holy Spirit.
We can do nothing that glorifies God but by the power of His Spirit.
When a person is saved, he has the anointing and is sealed by the Spirit of God (Ephesians 1:12-14).
If you are not born again, you are presently walking in the flesh and cannot please God (Romans 8:8). You are in desperate need for a Savior,
You do not have the Holy Spirit nor can you receive the Spirit until you repent and receive Christ into your life.
Only Jesus Christ can save you.  He will be your Savior if you repent and receive Him into your life. If not, He will be your Judge ....
God has made it possible for you to know Him and experience an amazing change in your own life by receiving His Son, Jesus Christ, and have eternal life.
Say the following prayer:

“Father God, I confess I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from you.

I am truly sorry. I now want to turn away from my past sinful life and live a new life pleasing to you.

Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again.

I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer.

I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Thank you that according to your Word, I am now born again.

Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. Please use me for Your glory.

In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.”

SCIENCE CONFIRMS THE BIBLE - Christ once reported a climate pattern in Israel. Alaska’s southeast temperate coastal rainforest corroborates His claims, illustrating once again how true science confirms the Bible.

Jordan River
Christ Predicted Climate Patterns

by James J. S. Johnson, J.D., Th.D.

In the gospel of Luke, Christ once reported a climate pattern in Israel.

Alaska’s southeast temperate coastal rainforest corroborates His claims, illustrating once again how true science confirms the Bible.

Most rainforests are tropical, but not all.

By definition, the term “tropical” means hot, referring to the warm temperatures of the tropics.

However, the word “rainforest” refers to a forested region that receives at least 100 inches per year of rainfall.

Thus, if a forested region receives this level of rainfall yet is not hot enough year-round to be tropical, its milder climate makes it a temperate rainforest.

And if it is located on a coastline (like Alaska’s southeastern coast), it’s a coastal temperate rainforest.

Usually land next to a seacoast—such as shore-land by an ocean or a large saltwater sea like the Mediterranean—has mild temperatures year-round.

The coastal saltwater moderates the land temperatures of the land it touches, absorbing excess heat during warmer weather and radiating heat during cooler weather.

These conditions explain the relatively mild weather of Southeast Alaska.

It is considered a rainforest but not a tropical rainforest. What explains its huge quantities of annual rainfall, routinely receiving more than 100 inches (and sometimes much more!) of precipitation per year?

The answer is a phenomenon called orographic precipitation.

This refers to how a mountain (or piedmont) range blocks free passage of rainclouds moving from ocean to coastland, forcing them upward and over the mountains.

The process causes rainclouds to dump out most of their rain on the mountain slopes before they reach the other side of the mountain.

Although it likely bypasses the casual reader, this climate pattern was alluded to by the Creator Himself during His public ministry.

The Lord’s climate pattern observations were recorded for us by Luke, the empirical science-trained gospel writer:

Then He also said to the multitudes, “When you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it is. And when you see the south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is.”

The land of Israel is located on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea.

Evaporated saltwater pumps loads of moisture-laden air into the clouds floating above that sea.

These rainclouds are often blown eastward over Israel, eventually bumping into the Judean foothills.

Negev Desert
This mountain-like piedmont range separates Israel’s coastland from the Jordan River and the trans-Jordanian highlands, causing the rain to spill on the coastal plain before being pushed eastward over the Judean mountains.

In contrast, winds blowing from the Negev Desert

south of Israel would be dry, hot, and likely rainless.

The Negev’s dryness is due to a lack of atmospheric moisture in the Dead Sea area and the arid Sinai Peninsula farther south.

At times when desert surface and air temperatures are 100oF or hotter, dry air blows from those locations and routinely produces the hot weather that Christ called the “south wind.”

Again we have an account where the Bible reports scientifically relevant details.

Our Lord knew exactly what He was talking about.

Surely Luke would have appreciated the orographic weather patterns of Southeast Alaska’s rainforests.

lyrics

You who made the mountains and the sea
Measured out the universe and You made me
Echoes of the voice that called the worlds to be
Reach throughout the ages and now speak to me
You're my Creator King

You who made the valleys and the skies
Displayed Your love on far horizons and before my eyes

You who lit the stars and set the dawn in time
Called them all by name and now You whisper mine
You're my Creator King

Who am I that You are mindful of me? Yeah
Who am I that You sent Your love on me?
You're my Creator King

You who made the darkness and the light
Sun and moon to watch the day and guard the night
The hand that stretched the Heavens like a canopy
Reaches down to cover and watch over me
You're my Creator King

Who am I? Who am I that You are mindful of me?
Who am I that You sent Your love on me?
Who am I that You are mindful of me?

Who am I that You sent Your love on me? Yeah
You're my Creator King, You're my Creator King
You're my Creator King, You're my Creator King
