5 Life Lessons from
Joel Osteen
He is optimistic, encouraging, and has helped thousands to be what God wants them to become. Pastor Joel Osteen has given countless lessons on how to walk in love, inspire, hope, and dream by standing on God’s word.
“Keep following the dream that God put in your heart. Believe. Work hard. There may be some difficult seasons, but you have to keep moving forward. Sometimes we say faith is spelled R I-S-K. Sometimes, you’ve got to risk if you feel a calling deep down. You’ve got to take that step of faith." - Joel Osteen
Joel Osteen has become the most watched inspirational figure in America.
Just within the past eight years, more than two million people have attended Joel and Victoria’s Night of Hope events across the U.S. and around the world.
Each day, Joel Osteen reaches as many people as he can to share the power of God’s Word.
He has the opportunity to share the greatest message of all time with millions of people, and does so through his inspiring sermons.
His ministry welcomes people from all walks of life so that they too can experience the unconditional love and unending hope that is found within our Lord and Savior.
Joel’s far-reaching impact can be found in the simplicity of his core message: Our God is a good God who has good plans for those who choose to follow Jesus and are faithful and obedient to God’s Word.
With so much wisdom and influence, it’s no wonder that many flock to him for spiritual growth.
The lessons that Joel teaches on a regular basis are helpful in being applied to our day to day lives, as well.
He has great insight on how to we can put God first in our life and the best way to honor and praise Him as we move forward. Here are five life lessons you should hold close to your heart.
Favor
Confess favor when it seems there is none. This is a powerful message for us during bad times. Osteen says to confess it regardless of how you feel and let God work.
Making Choices
You have a choice, Osteen believes and teaches. You can have a bad attitude, or look from God’s perspective. Make the choice to have a good attitude.
A Better Life
Your thoughts have different pattern for good or bad. Osteen offers advice on taking our thoughts captive, and rejecting the ungodly ones for God’s thoughts for a better life.
Be Proactive
Be proactive and don’t let emotions rule your mind and spirit. He said we need to be transformed as the Bible tells us in Romans 12 “renewing our minds.”
Trust
God causes all to work for us and His glory. In this final lesson, Osteen said that even when we can’t understand why or God’s reasoning, we must learn to trust God and believe He will bring some kind of good from any given situation.
