You
have to feel sorry for Catholics. Their new Pope seems more excited about Islam
than his own religion.
Pope
Francis also thinks that the Muslim-inspired attacks on Paris last year were
due to income inequality, not religious or ideological hatred. He blamed those
attacks on the fact that terrorists grow up in “ghettos.”
And
they say that Donald Trump talks like an ignorant blabbermouth at a bar?
Consider the rambling and raving of what passes for a Pope in the early
twenty-first century.
Breitbart.com reports: The
Pope has hailed the election of Sadiq Khan as “Muslim” mayor of London, claimed
mass Muslim migration is “necessary” for Europe, and blamed Paris and Brussels
for the attacks on European soil.
In
an interview with French newspaper La Croix, Pope Francis strongly
implied that the terrorists who attacked Paris and Brussels did so because they
“grew up in a ghetto.”
He
also applauded the election of Muslim mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, stating it
“illustrates the need for Europe to rediscover its capacity to integrate,”
evoking “Pope Gregory the Great, who negotiated with the people known as
barbarians who were subsequently integrated.”
Does
growing up in a slum make you into a terrorist? What about all the people who
grow up in a ghetto or slum and who do not become terrorists? Many go on to
make something of their lives in science, business or athletics. How insulting
to them, to claim that those who grew up in a slum and did become sadistic
killers had no other choice.
The
Pope is supposed to be an expert on morality. This view represents the most
amoral approach to personal responsibility you will ever find.
Yes,
this Pope is “cool.” The media and academic elites love him. He is a Pope
for our times, but that’s not a compliment, because we live in truly moronic
times. Pope Francis has found the perfect blend of political correctness,
self-effacing love of one’s most brutal enemies, and warmed over Marxist,
victim-inspired socialism. He has blended them together to make a toxic stew which
suicidal Westerners on both sides of the Atlantic seem all too ready to
swallow.
Pope
Francis is a fool. And I suspect a lot of Catholics know it.
Yet
he’s in high profile company. Look at America’s president. America’s president
has acted and spoken like a fool for eight long years; and a plurality would
probably vote for him again.
Pope
Francis also claimed Europe’s declining birth rate is a “grave problem” that
makes mass Muslim migration “necessary.” He described this “demographic
emptiness” as a result of “a selfish search for well-being.”
If
a selfish search for well-being leads to emptiness, then what’s the
alternative?
Should
we all be in a selfless search for death and destruction, since the Pope finds
the search for well-being empty? If happiness is empty, then are misery and
suffering meaningful? Speak for yourself, Pope Francis. You might relish being
miserable, but some of us seek to be happy.
The Roman Catholic Church promises a utopia in life after death, so long as you follow the
dictates of faith-based dogma while on earth. Marxism promises a secular utopia
by joining with the collective and letting a totalitarian government rule every
aspect of our lives.
Pope
Francis promises both: Utopia on earth, via Marxism, as well as utopia after
death. Like traditional Catholics, the Pope frowns upon secular happiness like
sex for its own sake, which is one of the reasons he opposes homosexuality, gay
marriage and abortions. Yet like contemporary progressives and Marxists, he
condemns the selfish pursuit of happiness on earth, reserving his sternest
rebukes for the social system which supports that prosperity: capitalism.
I
find it telling that the socially conservative Pope and left-wing, socialist
utopia progressives feel kinship. Despite their very significant differences on
abortion and gay marriage, something more fundamental and therefore emotionally
comfortable unites them: Hatred of life on earth. Progressives aim their
weapons at capitalism; the Pope, who’s far more consistent, aims his weapons at
everything secular, at happiness itself.
Francis
may be a fool. But he’s truly lethal in his consistency. He hates life on
earth. He’s against sex and material pleasure; and he’s against economic
freedom.
No
wonder Pope Francis embraces Islam.
Islam,
taken seriously, despises man’s productive purpose and happiness on earth, as
well.
Even
if you’re Catholic, you’d do well to run for your life from this man. Unless,
of course, you do not think life matters.
